Description

One of the most popular chokes ever used is the "Matador de Leao" (Lion Killer)... more commonly referred to as the rear naked choke. If properly applied, the defender has approximately 5-15 seconds before they are put to sleep. In this course, we will not only cover how to PROPERLY apply the rear naked choke, but we will also demonstrate techniques to defend against it if you are attacked with this potentially lethal technique. We will also learn numerous other techniques that may be encountered on the ground.

John presently holds the rank of Expert Level 1 in Krav Maga, has been practicing for over 14 years and is the California State Director for the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF). He has been certified by the IKMF as an Instructor for the Women's Stay Away program, IKMF kids program, Armed and unarmed bodyguard and has successfully participated in and passed the IKMF Combat Fighter's Instructor Course. In addition to Krav Maga, John has trained in Muay Thai, Kali and also holds a Blue Belt in Gracie Combatives, as well as a Blue Belt in sport BJJ.
